CALL FOR AWARD APPLICATIONS
Bruce E. Gronbeck Political Communication Research Award 2008Sponsored by the
Carl Couch Center for Social and Internet Research

The Carl Couch Center issues an annual call for published works (i.e., books or articles) to be considered for the Bruce E. Gronbeck Political Communication Research Award. To be considered for the Gronbeck Award, submissions should interpret or address theoretical-conceptual, historical, and critical-cultural issues of political communication. Submissions will be evaluated based on the quality of (1) originality, (2) organization, (3) presentation, and (4) advancement of knowledge. Evaluation will be administered by a Review Committee of four:
Dr. Robert E. Denton, Jr., Virginia Tech
Dr. David Henry, UNLV
Dr. James Klumpp, University of Maryland
Dr. Judith S. Trent, University of Cincinnati
Both single and co-authored works are accepted. Publication date should be within the last two calendar years of application. The Award winner will receive a Gronbeck Award plaque to be presented in the 2008 Annual Convention of the National Communication Association (NCA).
